WE HAVE BEEN SEARCHING AND ACQUIRING PARTS FOR A LONG LONG TIME NOW.   I BELIEVE THIS TO BE A 56 PONTIAC UNIT BASED ON MY RESEARCH.  HOWEVER, YOU LOOK CLOSELY AND DECIDE IF IT IS CORRECT FOR YOU.  OTHER YEARS AND MODELS MAY APPLY.   IT IS AN UNRESTORED PART.  WITH RADIOS I ONLY DESCRIBE APPEARANCES AS I DO NOT KNOW FUNCTIONALITY.  THE UNIT APPEARS COMPLETE BUT I HAVE NOT OPENED IT.  THE FACE HAS SOME WEBBING LIKE CRACKS IN THE ACRYLIC AND A LITTLE AREA THAT LOOKS LIKE A CIG MELT.  THE SCREENING IS FAIR.  THE BUTTONS HAVE DETERIORATION AND A RE ROUGH TO THE TOUCH..  LIKE I SAID, IT IS AN UNRESTORED ORIGINAL.  AT A MINIMUM A GOOD HOLE FILLER OR A GREAT PART TO RESTORE.  NOT MANY OF THESE LEFT IN THE WORLD. THIS STUFF IS GETTING HARDER AND HARDER TO FIND.   IT IS A COOL PART TO HAVE IN YOUR CLASSIC, HOTROD OR GARAGE FOR WALL ART..  DON'T PASS THIS DEAL.  I RATE THIS PIECE A 3 MINUS , IN APPEARANCE, ON A SCALE OF 1-5 WITH 5 AS THE HIGH BASED ON AGE RARITY AND CONDITION

I have no way of telling if the radio works properly and it is sold as is
.    I CAN TELL YOU you it's good in appearance and often these old radios were fine, merely replaced with aftermarket radios.  WE ALWAYS RECOMMEND OPENING AND AT LEAST CLEANING THE UNIT WITH AIR. When we decided to offer radios we made a decision to not claim that any radio worked.  We did this for a number of reasons.  It just seemed the safest way to go with most of the radios ranging from 30-60 years old.  Our thought was even if the radio played on the bench it might not play the following day.  So we don't test them.  Instead we start our radios at a reasonable price and know that often that means we don't see the money that a "Bench Tested" radio brings. And that's OK.  We'd rather have that then the issues that could come from saying an electronic part works.   Really, aren't you taking a chance anyway with Bench Tested unless it has at least a 90 day warranty?

HELLO FRIENDS.  JUST A QUICK NOTE.  WE SPENT A FEW WEEKENDS AT MANY OF THE MIDWEST'S LARGEST SWAP MEETS SEARCHING FOR PARTS.  THOUSANDS OF PARTS, HUNDREDS OF VENDORS, AND NONE OF THESE. ZERO!   SO LOOK CLOSELY AND BID IF YOU NEED IT. A GREAT HARD TO FIND PART.
