    Nakago Size: 28.0 mm x 8.0 mm (6.0 mm thickness)
    Material: Iron
    Signature: Jakkushi (1638~1707)
    Kawamura Jakushi (Kawamura Jakushi, Kanei 15 (1638) --- October 1, 1707 (October 25, 1707)) was a painter and craftsman who was active in Nagasaki in the early Edo period. He went on to study painting and devoted himself to the development of Nagasaki Han painting. His strange paintings are said to have the roots of "fantastic painters" such as Ito Jakuchu and Soga Shohaku. He also learned the technique of corrosive inlay and was excellent at tsuba work.
