    Description

Fuchikashira made of shakudo, based on the theme and workmanship this piece was made by Nara School.
Decorated with two out of seven Gods of good luck, Fukurokuju and Jurojin. They are both associated with longevity.
This piece is made of shakudo and inlaid with copper, silver and different type of shakudo. It is very small so it is difficult to say with certainty what methods of gold application were used. Certainly there are two gold alloys used, most probably solid gold inlay and some elements are gilded. Gold on Fukurokuju hat looks very thick so It might be covered with gold foil.
    Made in Edo period.
    Size:
    Fuchi: 38 mm x 21 mm x 9 mm
    Kashira: 34 mm x 18 mm x 8 mm
