Antique Tsuba for Japanese Samurai Sword Wakizashi Bronze.
this tsuba looks dark but with a slight brownish hue, plus it’s not magnetic so i am assuming it’s bronze or some nonferrous metal.
2-7/16” x 2-3/8”
opening is less than 7/8” x 3/16”
just shy of 3/16” thick at the mimi
pattern is chrysanthemum sukashi.
the center hole was filled rather poorly with another soft metal.
the mimi is smooth compared to the rest of the tsuba.
