This is Fuchi used for the handle of the sword. SAMURAI of Japan always had KATANA(sword) till the Edo period. When it became Meiji Era, Japan forbade that people had KATANA. However, even if it became Meiji, KATANA continued being made for a while. The side of this Fuchi has Japanese plant design(Plant in the field). This Fuchi is modern ones. This Fuchi has some dirt and some rust.
