In Japan, an apprenticing Geisha is called a meiko. Kiyo had been a meiko for 4 years now as the training and traditions are long and rigorous to become a full blown Geisha. Geisha are professional entertainers who attend to guests during meals, banquets and other occasions. They are highly trained in a wide variety of traditional Japanese arts such as dance music and communication. It’s an old tradition that still to this day is coveted by many women and one of the most successful careers a woman could have. On this day however Kiyo was to become a full Geisha. She went through the ceremony and was given the honor of the title of Geisha. She went on to become one of the most highly sought after geishas. She died of old age.
Now as a spirit she helps people achieve their goals and stick to their plans to accomplish what they set out to do.
