  • Condition: Getting ready for my first backpack trip in a long while and grabbed my PUR Scout, and this sealed / new cartridge from my camping bins. Couldn't recall how many times I'd used the old cartridge, so opened this one up and put it into my Scout. Testing it the night before I couldn't get the Scout to work, and didn't have time to mess with it. So left it behind and on my way to the mountains bought a new MSR pump. So this got wet once, but never left the house and never filtered any water.

    Was getting ready for my first backpack trip in a long while and grabbed my PUR Scout, and this sealed / new cartridge from my camping bins.  Couldn't recall how many times I'd used the old cartridge, so opened this one up and put it into my Scout.  Testing it the night before I couldn't get the Scout to work right, and didn't have time to mess with it.  So left it behind and on my way to the mountains bought a new MSR pump.  So this got wet once, but never left the house and never filtered any water.
