This is a natural Arkansas sharpening stone which is found only around Hot Springs, Arkansas. The stone is novaculite and is the finest natural abrasive stone available. It has superior sharpening characteristics that will actually polish the edge as it sharpens.
This stone comes in a nice walnut wooden box to protect it. It is removable to allow cleaning and access to both sides.
