CraftsmanKanesada (
Fujiwara Kanesada was a goldsmith who lived in Kyoto in the early
Edo period. He is said to have come from the Aoki clan as well as the Kinka
clan. His style is often characterized by simple landscapes with figures. This
sword mantle also has the same composition of figures standing under a tree,
which is often seen in Kanesada. The motifs depicted show the influence of
the Kim family.)
