    Comments
The details of this pattern, the bright style, the deep purplish patina of the metal, and the engraving sharp, all of these traits make this an unexceptionable work of
    YAGYU
    style probably.
This very pleasing masterpiece exhibits a nice feel due to the simplicity of the design. This piece is in perfect condition, both the iron and the details are almost untouched by age and show great skill. The design and shape exhibit a considerable sophistication. This would appear to be a very early example of its type.
The guard has a subtle surface variation, compact form, stately massiveness, the
    SUKASHI
work is excellent, and the good quality metal with a moist luster patina, give the whole piece a stately, solemn quality suitable to the dignity of a wealthy
    SAMURAI
    .
When on a sword, this work was probably more handsome. But even unmounted it remains a truly outstanding pattern.
    An ancient proverb known as:
    To dream of the
    FUJI YAMA
, especially at the beginning of year, is regarded as largest predict happiness. If one sees in dream a hawk, the chance will be less, smaller still if it is
    NASU
    or an eggplant.
