    Description

    A beautiful fingerjointed wooden microscope slide catalog and storage box from the mid 1900s.  Finish in very good condition with just a few minor imperfections. Box measures 8 5/8" wide x 7 5/8" deep and 1 1/2" tall. Metal (aluminum?) combs inside the box were designed to hold 100 slides. Hardware is brass plated — hinges and catches in good working order. Model number on the box is A-1600/X and was made by the Clay-Adams Company of New York. The bottom is stamped with "A1763".
